TACA International

Carry-on Allowance On all routes and across all classes of travel, each ticketed passenger is allowed one piece carry-on baggage within the following limits:
• Weighing not more than 22 lb/10 kg
• Not exceeding 45 linear inches/114 cm (length + height + width)

In addition to your carry-on baggage, you can carry along the following items in the cabin:
A lady’s handbag, purse
An umbrella or walking stick
A reasonable amount of reading material for the flight
Infant’s food for consumption in flight. Infant carrying basket
An overcoat, wrap or blanket
A small camera and/or a pair of binoculars
A fully collapsible invalid’s wheelchair or any other orthopedic device of passenger’s use provided that passenger is dependent upon them.
A Laptop computer

In case your carry-on bag exceeds the limited space in the passenger cabin, you’ll be required to carry your items as checked baggage
Checked Baggage Allowance The following checked baggage rules apply for travel on all routes:
Economy Class passengers are allowed to check 2 pieces of baggage, each weighing not more than 50lbs/23kg and not exceeding 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + height + width).

Clase Ejecutiva passengers can check 3 pieces of baggage, each weighing not more than 50lbs/23kg and not exceeding 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + height + width).
Excess Baggage Rules If your baggage exceeds the prescribed limits of free baggage allowance, you'll be required to pay an additional amount based on size, weight and quantity. The following excess baggage rules apply on all routes:
• A Handling Charge of US $25* applies to any individual bag with more than 50 lbs./22.5 kg and less than 70 lbs./31.8 kg
• A Handling Charge of US $100* applies to any individual bag with more than 70 lbs./31.8 kg. and less than 100 lbs./45 kg.
• A Handling Charge of US $100* applies to any individual bag measuring more than 62 linear inches/157 cm. and less than 85 linear inches/216 cm.
Delayed/lost/damaged

For any delayed, damaged and lost baggage, please contact TACA representative at the destination airport immediately after arrival.
Sports Equipment The following rules apply for sports equipments of different dimensions:
Surfboards:
Checked as part of regular baggage allowance
Up to 2 surfboards in one bag permitted per passenger
Charge of US $50 per bag, each way
No charge between Miami and San Jose for first 2 surfboards per passenger
Checked as excess baggage:

Subject to space availability (Standby Bag)
Charge of US $100 per bag, each way
Other sports equipment:

May be checked as one of the 2 pieces* permitted in your free baggage allowance.
If you choose to check sports equipment as part of your regular baggage allowance and check another piece as excess baggage, the sports equipment will be subject to overweight/oversized baggage charges.
One of the following sports equipment is permitted per passenger:
Fishing: 2 fishing rods, 1 pair of boots, 1 net.
Golf: 1 golf club bag (up to 62 inches) with up to 14 clubs, 12 golf balls and 1 pair golf shoes packed in the bag.
Bicycle: 1 packed in a suitcase or cardboard box, with pedals removed and steering wheel parallel to body.
Diving: 1 air regulator, 1pair rubber fins, 1 conventional harpoon, 1 diving mask, 1 wet suit, 1 weight belt.
Archery: 1 bow plus arrows.
Ski: 2 poles, 1pair each of skis, boots, and shoes.
